Kita is my 9 year-old pit mix and truly my best friend. She’s been with me through every chapter of life, always by my side with her goofy smile, protective heart, and gentle soul. She’s the kind of dog who loves everyone she meets and still acts like a puppy when she’s happy.

Kita, needed emergency surgery for pyometra at South Seattle Veterinary Hospital. It wasn’t discovered until surgery that it had ruptured, making it far more severe than expected. I thought I had just enough to cover her care, but costs increased after complications. Family and nonprofits helped, but we still need support.

Kita refuses to sleep unless she’s buried in blankets and pillows right beside you. She’s the biggest couch potato, yet somehow always ready for adventure. She loves playing in boxes, and her favorite food is anything edible. She’s truly the light in my life with the softest heart for children & her family
