Kittens are in Laurel, MS, who needs $2,000 for Upper Respiratory Infections & Medical Boarding for Dumped Baby Kittens.

Found these babies dumped at my house on June 1st. Super cute, 4 weeks old, & eating solid food. I will care for them until they can be adopted, but they’re sick with upper respiratory infections. I am out of town for the next 8 days which requires medical boarding at the vet. This is a very costly & unexpected expense, but I can’t let them suffer. They deserve happy & healthy lives.

I have multiple cats & dogs in my home so I’ve had to keep them isolated. They are able to see my other babies & do not seem afraid of them. I am not sure of any prior socialization, but they are scared of people. They will hiss & try to hide from me, but quickly calm down after I begin to hold them. I live alone, so I’m the only human interaction I know they have received.

I live on one income, & have multiple medical issues. My own medical bills & personal vet bills take up a lot of my income. This is an unexpected & costly expense, but I cannot sit by & let them suffer. They are innocent & did not ask to be put in these circumstances.

The kittens were seen at my vet, Animal Medical Center, in Hattiesburg, MS, today. They have fleas & were treated with Capstar. They will be triple snap tested to look for FIV/FELV., & they will receive fecal tests & deworming. The respiratory infection will require a round of Clavamox & eye drops. To ensure they receive complete treatment I will have to medically board them while out of town.

These are tiny, helpless babies. They deserve a chance at good health & a happy life with someone who loves them. Although they have only been with me a few days I am already in love with them. They are already starting to show their little personalities too. The dark tortie and the sickest orange baby are the most timid. The tabby & other orange baby are more adventurous & love snuggles.
