Kittles is a three-year-old Domestic Shorthair cat in El Cajon, CA, who needs $900 for hospitalization due to burns.

Kittles narrowly escaped a brush with death, and now she needs your help.

Her owner, Chelsea B., was just weeks away from having her second child when a horrible fire started at her house. When the searing heat from the flames broke a window in the home, Kittles managed to run out, but she was severely injured. "Kittles has burns on her face and all her paws," Chelsea tells Waggle. "She needs to get daily bandage changes (at the animal hospital) to help with her wounds. The vet said they are pretty bad."

Sadly, Chelsea's other cat died in the fire. Chelsea and her seven-year-old child are safe but heartbroken. "Two years ago, I adopted two cats. I fell in love the moment I saw them. They loved to be next to me and cuddle and play with cat toys," Chelsea says.

As Chelsea attempts to rebuild her life, she's struggling to pay Kittles' medical bills. "Right now, I am in financial hardship. We lost everything," Chelsea adds. "I am due in three weeks with a baby girl and trying to get all the baby items we lost. Helping my cat would mean the world to me. She is like my child."
