About this campaign

Kitty has been with me for 13 years. I live alone and she's been my true friend and companion. While visiting my son, I saw her running around the neighborhood with a few other cats in the snow. She stood out because she was so beautiful. I left food out for her and she finally felt safe enough to let me take her home. After she ate she slept peacefully. Luckily she was already house trained.

When I initially took Kitty to the vet they wanted to put her to sleep. That was 3 weeks ago. I took her to another vet The Guardian Vet Group that is willing to treat her. He confirmed she has fluid around her lungs and has difficulty breathing. I have been giving her furosemide which has helped, but she needs an operation to drain the fluid and give her relief.

Kitty is a house cat. She loves to bird watch, and when cats from the neighborhood come around she's always at the window to watch. She likes to jump on me and start digging her claws into my pillows and starts purring. She understands the word "eat" and knows that means it's time to eat.

I'm a senior living on Social Security and can not afford a large vet bill to save my Kitty. I don't want her to suffer but I think she would have a chance if she can at least get the fluid drained. It's been 3 weeks now since her original diagnosis and she's still fighting.
