About this campaign
Kiwi was born in Sunny San Diego, CA, which is also where I had rescued him. During my meet-and-greet with Kiwi, he instantly climbed into my lap and proceeded to nuzzle my sweatshirt in an attempt to get underneath it. At that very moment, my father had said, “he’s the one” and I couldn’t agree more.
Fun Fact: Kiwi is named after New Zealand!
Kiwi has experienced significant blunt trauma to his front right leg due to a horse pawing at him. This resulted in an open fracture, the breaking of both leg bones (Radial and Ulna), an infection, a visit to the ER, as well as a trip to the specialty hospital for surgery to implant plates and screws. Kiwi is also living with Cushing’s Disease and continues to exemplify positivity each day.
Kiwi is the most adventurous, gregarious and exploratory little man with a happy soul. Kiwi has joined me in traveling all around the US, and loves to be carried in his backpack or “porta-bed” (doggy purse). He loves to be outdoors and strives to be included in all sorts of activities and is eager to capture the heart of each and every person he meets. To Kiwi, you are always enough.
This year has been tough for me and has left me with many unexpected financial burdens. I am seeking support for Kiwi with the hopes of extending the incredible bond and partnership we share, plus the knowledge that he has many more years to live and adventures that await.
