Kizzie is a 2-year-old standard poodle in FLORAL CITY, FL, who needs $2,000 for abdominal blockage.

Kizzie came into my life thru a friend. Still a puppy I started training her to be my Diabetic Alert Dog. She has excelled in her training. We are very bonded. She sleeps with me and knows what "move" means when she has overtaken the bed. lol Even when she is playing with my sons dog she does a quick well check on me and goes back to playing.

Once she gets her service dog harness on she is in full working mode. She has excellent doggie manners and very aware. Kizzie is a young, vibrant, smart, goofy girl. Always so happy and wanting to play or work. It doesn't matter just as long as it is us together. She let's me know when my sugar is off and wakes me if I stop breathing in my sleep. She always "has my back".

Being disabled my income is limited but manageable for normal times. This situation is above and beyond my abilities. Pleading for assistance is all I have that I can do.

Part of her intestines were removed and two big incisions to remove a long string thru her body. It was a big surgery at UF small animal hospital in Gainesville FL. When she is ready to be released there is a balance due. If you are able to donate to my sweet girl it would be awesome. She always has " my back" and now it's my turn to have hers. Kizzie became ill suddenly. Her bodily functIons stopped and she was dehydrated. The first vet treated her then sent her home. Still sick the next day we went to a doggie ER. They found a blockage. Surgery estimate of $4000 - $6000 dollars. Or euthanize! I didn't have the funds and asked for help from friends & family. Generously they could help raise enough deposit to get the emergency surgery.
