Knucklehead is a 15-year-old Shorthair Tuxedo Cat in Bremerton, WA, who needs $1,100 for Oral Surgery -Teeth Removal due to Periodontal Disease.

This is my Knucklehead. He’s the last of 11 kittys I kept during 10 years of kitty rescue in pierce county Washington. He had an abscess on him ear and a kid had kicked him off a deck and injured his back. I have stairs to my bed and windows for him because of his back. He does pretty good until he chases something and forgets about his back!

He likes being the only cat in the house and it takes time for him to warm up to people. One day he saw my mom walking up the sidewalk talking to him and he turned his butt to her and shook his tail at her and walked off. 😂 He’s getting better with my family! My neighbors love him cause he’s just a mellow, funny guy. He chases leafhoppers in the grass! It’s hilarious!

Hi spends most of his time in the garden with or without me. 😄 His friend Scootie joins him sometimes. She’s a neighbors kitty that’s comes for breakfast sometimes. He adores her and likes to roam around the yard with her. They sleep together in the garden. Both of them used to fight when we first moved in but it didn’t take long to become friends.

In October Knucklehead got an infection in his chin. It spread to his gums and that’s when I found out how bad his teeth were. He’s lost both top canines but never had problems eating until recently. Yesterday he broke off a lower canine and had to make another trip to the vets for antibiotics and pain meds. He needs most of his teeth removed.

I’m on a fixed income and there’s no way I can pay the &1900+ for his dental surgery. I’m constantly worried about infection and pain with him and feel guilty for not being able to take proper care of his needs. I love him!
