About this campaign
We “rescued” koa at 5 months from a family who’s boxers had puppies. She was extremely scared of everything, but you could tell she wanted to be loved. We drove 5 hrs to pick her up. She is the sweetest soul we have came across. She has moved to Japan, as we are a military family she travels and lives a lot. She has a little sister Kendall who she adores, even though Kendall is a ball of energy.
Koa loves to go on long walks and ride in the car. She sleeps with us, sometimes with her sister depending on how she is feeling that night. She shows so much expression and gets her way all the time. She is a daddy’s girl for the most part, but comes to mommy when she wants something. Koa and Kendall are best friends, I would be so distraught to lose her and Kendall be without her sister as well.
My husband and I just purchased a home, after receiving military orders, so the girls could have a yard. I am for seeing me having to take off work, as well as any after treatment. Koa is our first fur child and I would give anything to make sure she is comfortable and happy
Koa has not had any health issues, her only surgery has been her spay as a puppy. We were heartbroken to find out she has a mast cell tumor last week. We recently moved to the states from Japan and her health cert was fine before moving back. She is currently being treated at VCA in Hollywood Maryland.
Koa is so judgmental just by her facial expressions or she will sigh and walk away or look away. She stomps her paws to get our attention. She snores really loud and sometimes has boxer gas :) her nub wiggles constantly and she loves to listen to what you’re saying with her dramatic head tilts. She is now on a raw diet and fish oil as recommended by the vet and loves it
