Koa is a 1 year old American Pit Bull Terrier in Steilacoom, WA, who needs $2,000 for CCL/ACL Surgery Left Rear Leg.

January 1st 2024 i got Koa as a gift. He is one of 7 and the last one available. He 9 weeks old, with the most amazing eyes and grey coat. He instantly stole our hearts. We have a house with a fenced back yard for him to run. His parents are both social butterflies like he is. The vets told us he was in great condition, and didnt even flintch for shots.

Koas injury came from walking. We had been having a bit of snow flurries, and alot of ice. We were crossing a parking lot and he slid on a patch of ice, doing doggie splits the hard way. Shortly after it was evident he had injured himself. Xrays have confirmed he has a torn ccl in his left leg as well as an ortho surgeon. The vet hospital is Bluepearl pet hospital

Koa is not only a pet, but a family member. He is a part of the team at work and has broken many of the stereotypes his breed is "associated" with. He loves everyone and doesnt have a mean bone in his body. He is a social butterfly at doggy daycare when he could go before his injury. If you are having a hard day he knows and will be your lap buddy until he knows you are better. Even to coworkers

Koa has a vet and is well taken care of, however his accident was unexpected and requires surgery. I am a single mom and do not have the finances to cover his surgery costs. I do not qualify for carecredit. I and Koa will be forever grateful to be able to be a pup again.
