About this campaign

Kobe's human family tells Waggle that a soccer ball-sized mass flared on his body, and now he needs it removed immediately!

"He has always been a very healthy dog," Fernando T., Kobe's human dad, says. "This thing that started growing on his body came so quickly it surprised us all. The vet said it is not cancerous, which is great. But the only way to remove it is with surgery."

Unfortunately, the cost of the operation is something Fernando can't afford. Still, he and his family are dedicated to saving money and ensuring he gets the care he needs. "This is a huge unexpected expense that we as a family have talked about and are willing to sacrifice even vacations to get him well," Fernando says.

Each day that Kobe goes without the surgery, he struggles. "He is a quiet but playful pup and loves the outdoors, and now he is not able to enjoy life due to this condition he developed. He is full of energy, and it hurts so much to see his sad face because he can't do everything he once did. He can't run, walk as much, or jump," Fernando adds.

Fernando and his family hope kind-hearted animal lovers might pay it forward, help them out, and give to Kobe's campaign. The medical team at Atwater Veterinary Center is ready to take on Kobe's case. "Any help we receive would be greatly appreciated," Fernando says. "We are not ready to say goodbye to Kobe. Thank you!"
