About this campaign

We rescued Koda at 8 weeks old. She was the only female out of a litter of 6. I knew the minute I saw her picture that she was meant for our family. She has 4 human sisters, and a human brother as well as 2 kitty sisters. She is the perfect fit and we cannot imagine life without her.

On Christmas day we noticed Koda favoring her right eye. This continued to progress and eventually her eye became cloudy and very red and irritated. We saw a veterinary ophthalmologist at Eye Care for Animals in Akron, OH who diagnosed her with cataracts. Her right eye is currently worse but she has them in both. They are genetic in nature.

Koda fits in with our family so well. She knows when we want to play and she knows when we just need a cuddle. She is your typical playful, wild, husky but equally as sweet and gentle. She loves tug of war, her stuffed duck, and giving hugs.

You prepare as much as you can for veterinary costs, but we didn't anticipate our young dog getting cataracts. She has so much life left to live. I want her to live it being able to see and foremost not be in any discomfort.
