About this campaign
Koda is a 8-year-old black lab golden retriever mix. He came from a litter of 10. 7 golden and 3 black. He was the only black boy in the litter. He was born on December 5th and we brought him home in January when he was 8 weeks old. We were so lucky to be chosen to be able to bring him home. He lives in a big house with a large fenced in yard with his human Mom, Dad and brother.
Koda loves going on walks. He is very set on which route he takes and will stop and not move until you go the way he wants to go. He loves looking for squirrels on his walks or when he is in his backyard. Koda loves the same routine and is so smart. He likes to sleep in the tub. Koda gets so excited when he has visitors. He loves belly rubs and loves to be brushed.
Koda in our eyes is one of a kind. He is so very loved. He has the sweetest face & the most beautiful eyes that will melt your heart. Koda loves to watch tv. Anything with dogs & Cops is his favorite. He will watch a whole movie with us. He has a laser light he loves to chase & likes to open his own gifts. Koda brings so much love and joy into our home. We just couldn't imagine life without him.
At the end of July Koda jumped off the bed and hit his toe on a dresser and jammed the toenail and damaged the nailbed. He has been fighting swelling and infection for 2 months. His vet says it could be a tumor or bone infection and needs to have his toe amputated. Surgery is on September 28th
This was devastating news and a large, unexpected expense that we hadn't saved for. We would be forever grateful to have our sweet boy back to the energetic boy he was before his toe injury.
