Koda came into our lives as a get well gift from a vary dear friend after my double mastectomy. He was just perfect, he knew it was his job to cuddle me until I was healthy, and that he did! He never left my side, even as a young pup. After losing my job after the surgery, we worked double time on his training to become our hunting buddy. He is 1 pass away from his first title.

Koda's favorite thing is to fetch ducks! It doesn't matter how thick the mud is, he is bringing me that duck! And when we are not hunting or training, he is on the couch with the kids watching their favorite cartoons. Late summer. When the garden is ready to be harvested, he is right there eating all the carrots, and tomatoes he can. His FAVORITE are the pears from the tree.

Koda holds a special place in my heart. When I had no energy after my surgery, he didn't care, he never asked for me to do anything but relax and heal. His quirkiness is what I love, and his ability to read anyone and know if they need love or if they need to laugh. He knows all he has to do is hop on his front feet and bark to get the whole house laughing.

Koda seen a deer in the yard & was gone. He never heard my recall because of the pouring rain & was clipped by a car on the road. I had ran to the front door to recall & it was too late. He hobbled inside and collapsed in my arms.
