About this campaign
Hi! My name is Chrissy and I am fundraising for my dog, Koda, who needs surgery to remove a large mass on his side. It is growing rapidly so surgery will take place very soon.
He is my emotional support and has been through a lot with me. I currently have 4 rescue dogs and foster when I can. Your help and support will mean the world and will save Koda. Please help today.
Koda loves his family, from his humans to his furry family. He is a Lab mix (mostly Lab) and as all Labs, he is snuggly, food motivated, and loved to be around people. He used to love to get up in bed and also on the couch, but this growth is causing him not to be able to sleep with us. I did purchase a new bed to help cushion his sleep on the floor.
Koda has always been my emotional support. He has a keen sense of feelings. He loves to "talk" and tell me what he needs... from potty, to eat, to water, to pet me, etc. He is goofy and light-hearted. I have always adopted/rescued dogs that have special needs... be it parvo, behavioral issues, anxiety, the color of their fur, etc. Koda is no different than this. He is very special.
Koda has a large mass that is growing on his left side. He has seen Rock Road Animal Hospital and is currently being treated by VSS (Veterinary Specialty Services) in OFallon MO. Koda has arthritis but all of his blood work comes back strong. We were told he is likely to survive the surgery, but with this mass, his length and quality of life is greatly at risk.
The surgery will cost $3k. He deserves to live out his life in less pain. Being able to climb into bed and snuggle. $3K is a lot for most families, but those that love our fur families will do what is needed to be able to provide them the care that they need.
