I got Kody from SPCA. He is a rescue dog. At the time I was looking for a small dog and he was advertised as a small dog (he is a big dog). The first time I met him, i just fell in love. He was 6 months by then. The day I adopted him was also the day I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. We live in a house and my family is very active. We are outside a lot because my work is flexible

Kody is an active dog. Loves to run and play. One day after our walk, he started limping. Brought him to vet and was told he just needed rest because he injured his knee ligament. 6 weeks after that both knees seems to be bad. Brought him to a different vet and was told he tore both knee ligament and he needs a surgery. His current vet is Dr brian gibbs at central animal hospital in saskatoon.

My dog is our family’s protector. He is very protective of my little one. He gets jealous when i’m holding another dog. Always gentle and loving. He doesn’t like cuddles but will always grab my hand to hold him

Kody’s surgery is very expensive. The quote for his surgery is $8000-10000. This is a huge amount of money that I cannot afford. My family live a simple life so this amount is way beyond our means. In the mean time to help kody I just ordered a wheel chair for him
