Kody is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu in Shreveport, LA, who needs $500 for blood work and testing.

My son was going off to college and my daughter was going to start to miss him while he is gone so I asked my co-worker if she could help me find a puppy. My friend has a friend that was giving Kody away. And she called me it that was the start of us receiving the best gift ever.

Kody is everyone's puppy in our apartment building. Our neighbors love him as well as our family. We walk Kody about 5 miles a week. He loves outside, sometimes we have to take him outside at night so he can just run around. He doesn't sleep in a cage, is sleeps at the foot of my daughter's bed or in my room. He has a loving spirit. He just wants you to hold him and just love him.

Laid off due to COVID 19, this emergency with our governor has us in the house until the 15th for right now. Not sure if it will be extended. If not I will go back but I have to catch everything up.

Kody started having diarrhea about 3 days ago. My son said it had blood in it. So Kody still bing his self I too scheduled an appointment and the veterinarian called and said he might have a parasite. We need to do blood work. The cost is $180 plus the testing it etc is an additional $180 with the stay at home order, money is scarce, but I don't want to lose my friend.

Kody is special to us because we rescued him from a home that had a lot of dominant cats. The owners says that he would have not lived for long because of her cats. He loves to play and he loves to show you love. I haven't ever been a pet lover but Kody has changed my mind but just loving me. He greets you at the dog and waits for us to get home. He is a part of our family and we love him
