My dog Koi is 2yrs old and was given to me by a co worker who could no longer keep him due to her landlord threatening to evict her. I've never had a dog and decided I wanted to experience dog love for the first time in my life. Ever since Koi has been in my life, he's given me so much joy and delight. The happiness within his eyes when he greets me when I come home from work. I can't live without

koi was seen at the spca today and was given a sedated X-ray. The X-ray came back to reveal that indeed the worse has happened. Koi has fully torn his ACL and is in need of surgery. Surgery that the spca can't provide. I'm struggling financially. Spca told me this surgery would be costly. Spca said if my Koi went to a shelter, the shelter would euthanize him. I can't experience that fate.

Koi loves all of his stuffed animal toys. He literally can’t leave the house without one. Koi loves bath time. He isn’t afraid of loud noises. He loves walks in the rain. His favorite is snow. He rolled on his back every time he gets a chance outside. He loves to sun bathe and smiles at me constantly!

This id a catastrophic experience to had happened unexpectedly and unfortunately I have no emergency fund to get Koi the vet care he needs for his ACL. To receive help for Koi would actually be a miracle to my family as Koi is a beloved companion to our family
