About this campaign

Kona is a 4-year-old golden retriever who has been a cherished part of our family since March 2020. From the moment we brought her home, she’s been a constant source of joy with her playful energy and loving personality. She’s grown into a happy, friendly dog who loves spending time with us and making new friends—both human and furry.

My 4 year old golden retriever has a bone spur in her front elbow joint that is causing arthritis and inflammation throughout her joints. She has had an issue limping/being in pain for almost a year now. We spent our entire savings just to afford her CT scan which was almost $3,000. Now, the less invasive surgery option (the cheaper option) is still over $4,000. If we have to try to save this up,

Kona has a fun, quirky personality that makes her stand out. She has a habit of carrying her favorite toy around the house like a prized possession and will often “talk” to us with little grumbles and barks when she wants attention or playtime. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious, and she brings so much joy and laughter to our family.

Our family is facing a significant financial challenge as we prepare for our first daughter who arrives in February 2025. On top of the usual expenses of preparing for a baby, we recently spent $2,700 on a CT scan for Kona to diagnose her elbow which wiped our savings.
