About this campaign
Meet one of RKH's newest kittens named Kris. Her and her siblings were named after the show Three's Company. After a full veterinary assessment and bloodwork, sweet little Kris was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a once fatal disease that can now be treated with life-saving medication. Thanks to the quick action of Rescue Kitties of Hawaii and their dedicated vet team, Kris immediately began the costly FIP treatment protocol, along with supportive antibiotics and care.
The great news? She’s already gaining weight and showing remarkable improvement! Her sister Janet, was also diagnosed with FIP (a rare situation to see in two kittens from the same litter).
But like Kris, Janet is responding wonderfully to treatment.
These two sweet girls have come so far. When RKH first rescued them, they were terrified and untouchable, but with the loving care of their amazing foster mom, they’ve blossomed into affectionate, playful kittens. Because foster mom Jackie was so observant and quick to act, both girls got the medical help they needed before it was too late.
However, the medical bills are stacking up quickly. Now, they need your help to complete their full 84-day course of FIP treatment, which is the only way to ensure they will both survive and thrive.
The medications are expensive, but they are working. With your support, Kris can go on to live a long, healthy, love-filled life with her siblings. Thank you!
6/5/26 Update
Thanks to your generosity, Kris is fully healed from FIP treatment and has grown into such a happy, healthy, loving, snuggly cat. He was adored and adopted by a loving family with other fur siblings, and he is living the dream! When I compare his before and after pics it brings happy tears to my eyes. From the wild on Moloka’i as a small, feral, super sick kitten with no chance of survival to an amazing, beautiful, safe indoor life with a wonderful furrrever family and unconditional love. Our rescue journey with Kris lasted over a year in foster care to ensure he was in good health. We miss him and love him always, but our job with him was complete. We set him up for success, and our hearts are full knowing he is so loved and HEALTHY!
