Kronk is a 1-year-old Domestic Shorthair in Tallahassee, FL, who needs $1,100 for Emergency Urinary Surgery and Hospitalization.

I have had Kronk since he was about 8 weeks old. His story from the rescue touched my heart because he was the "sick" kitten of the litter and needed a lot more care than his siblings. I brought him home to become a companion for my dog Kuzco. Yes, they are named after character's in "The Emperor's New Groove" and their bond fits that description perfectly.

Kronk loves to cuddle on the couch and even has a specific blanket that has been deemed "the biscuit making blanket" because he kneads into this specific blanket for minutes at a time. He likes to play with his dog brother, Kuzco, and loves to chase the laser pointer with his two cat sisters. Kronk's favorite toy is a small stuffed lobster that he will carry around and proudly show off to everyone

When Kronk is introduced to new items/objects his eyes get really big and he tries to gently and playfully swat at it as if he were an actual baby. Every time he cuddles with one of his siblings it melts my heart and makes for the best "camera-ready" moment. He has not fully grasped the idea of catnip but will sit and patiently watch as his cat sisters enjoy their time with catnip.

Kronk required hospitalization due to urinary troubles and came home but unfortunately his situation deteriorated quickly. When taking him back to the vet he was very sick due to his bladder having a leak. Fluids, including urine, filled his abdomen quickly. This required immediate, emergency surgery for his survival, and he is now being closely monitored at North Florida Animal Hospital.

Due to Kronk having to go to the emergency vet first for a minor issue, and now having to have life-saving surgery at a different vet, there is a much larger bill than what was expected. Being a student and working full time helps but definitely doesn't cover all of it.
