About this campaign
We adopted Kyah from a local rescue agency in 2007. She picked us, reaching out from her cage with her paw to reach us. She automatically bonded with our 1 year old cat at the time, which still to this day treats her like her Mama. When she was healthy she would spend everyday for most of the day sleeping under our bed and come out at night to wreck havoc.
Kyah is best friends with our now 6 year old son and has been since he was a baby. He is her person and she often follows him around the house like a dog. She will take over any open lap available to be petted and also sleep on moms or brothers pillow right above our head at night kneading her feet.
The vet has recommended further testing, but unfortunately due to the current pandemic in the world I have lost my job, and finances are very tight. I am scared, because I feel like this is turning life or death and we don't want to loose our kitty, it would crush all of us.
2009 Kyah was diagnosed with asthma, and still to this day has troubles with it. But in the last few months has started vomiting. We visited vet just a few weeks ago, her blood work is normal. We tried changing her food and giving medicine but she continues to lose a significant amount of weight. It is very hard to see her getting so skinny. All Creatures Animal Hospital Puyallup, WA is her vet.
You can normally find her either playing with her rope, carrying her baby (small stuffy toy) around the house talking, or perched up in the windowsill watching the world pass by. She is the sweetest cat you will ever meet. She is called Miss America in our house because she seems to stomp her feet when she walks, you can hear her coming from afar, with one foot in front of the other like a model.
