Lacey is a 4 year old Shih Tzu in Elyria , OH, who needs $1,275 for Exploratory Abdominal Surgery.

Ever since I can remember I always wanted a Shih Tzu. I grew up with Boxers but when I was younger I told myself one day I’d get a shih tzu. Throughout the years that hasn’t changed and when my husband and I bought our first house we both got the two dogs we always wanted. My shih tzu and my husband got his husky. They were both just puppy’s when we got them and grew up together.

Until 6/22/24 Kiara (husky) started fighting with Lacey. It was suppose to be a fun summer Saturday in the pool but it happened in the blink of an eye. Kiara had Lacey in her mouth and when she let go, it wasn’t good. Lacey was rushed to Med Vet in Cleveland fighting for her life. She had exploratory abdominal surgery and part of her intestine was repaired. She stayed 3 days in the hospital.

Lacey is such a sweet soul. She has innocent little eyes that are full of love. She is an anxious girl, that never strays far from me. Lacey is even at my desk with me while I work every single day, never misses a beat. She loves our kids, if she’s not with me she’s cuddling one of them. All the highs and lows in life, little Lacey is always by our side to cheer us up. Now we do the same for her.

As Lacey recovers, we now face another side of that horrific day. The vet bills are far beyond what we could imagine. We are a fixed income family that never expected an accident like this. Every little bit helps tremendously! Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!!
