Lacy Jane is a 5-year-old Boxer/Pitbull mix in Louisville, KY, who needs $1,190 for surgery to fix her left rear leg CCL tear (like a human ACL tear).

I met Lacy at KHS. It was her first day in, so I could not touch her or play with her. I was at KHS looking for my baby girl CC who had been gone for a month. When we laid eyes on each other I knew I wanted Lacy as a member of our family. I had already filled out an adoption application some months before. The next day we got the call to come to adopt her at the East End Center.

Lacy met my Pitt Buster at the adoption center. They hit it off immediately, they both love to play. Two days later, animal control brought my missing CC back quite injured. Lacy tried to care for her injuries but kept her place while she was healing. She learned to play frisbee like a champ, she will not runoff. She loves us as much as we love her.

I lost my best job in 2012 when I had emergency heart surgery in Louisville. My heart has not been the same. I had a heart repair surgery in May of 2019, but have been advised I can not return to work, so I am supporting my Lil zoo household on just my disability earnings.

Lacy was playing in the front yard one day after it rained. I was playing ball with her, and her leg was injured. She is having Surgery at Sheperdsville Animal Hospital.

Lacy is so hyper and loveable, she knows what the toy bag is, and where I put it up. She can always find toys, and she will hide them from the other dogs. She smiled all the time. She loves to catch balls and go swimming. She can tell when my heart is beating off, and comes and lays her head on my heart. She is so loving and caring and so happy and has been since we were blessed with her.
