Ladee Bug (Lala) is a 10-year-old Mixed breed/rescue in Pierre, SD, who needs $1,863 for Ladee diabetes.

I saw a post on Facebook someone posted first $20 takes her. I was out of town. So made a phone call. Asked if they would give the $20 and I will pay when I get home. We got Ladee. She is both a joy and a love. Ladee attached herself to the grandkids so it was obvious she made her home with us. She is a love and we are all so happy we have her.

Ladee has chosen her person. He is 15 and he shares her sentiments. He hates to leave for school as much as she hates for him to leave. She rides along to take him to school. Ladee sleeps with him and lays outside the bathroom door when he takes a shower. She thinks his meals are her meals so we have to be careful what's on his plate

Ladee is a riot. She will stand up and wave her paws in the air to get her way. If that doesn't work she will barkand kick her legs. She LOVES food.. especially off her person's plate. We almost lost her because we did not know she was diabetic. She spent 6 days at the vet, lost half her body weight, and wasn't eating.

Ladee has always been 1 to have a fit if we are eating and she isn't getting it. We always told her she has food and needs to go eat that. 1 day I was petting her and she seemed skinny. I picked her up and noticed she lost a lot of weight, had really mucousy stools and just wasn't really eating. Upon going to the vet we discovered she's diabetic and she had pancreatitis.

Ladee spent 6 days at the vet. 2 was level 2 ICU, 2 were level 1 ICU, and 2 in regular care. When she came home she wasn't really eating. After a couple days she started eating but was only eating junk food. It has taken us 5 weeks to get her and get her blood sugar under control
