Lady is a 1-year-old German Shepard/ Pitbull Mix in Hixson, TN, who needs $1,273 for Diagnosis and Pain Management.

When we rescued Lady, we knew immediately that she would be a huge part of our lives. After realizing we were not able to have children, my husband and I were left feeling empty and defeated. As soon as Lady came into our lives, she almost made us forget about all of the struggles we had gone through with her sweet smile and gentle personality.

She takes such good care of her little sister, Frenchie, and loves to keep all of us safe from all of those dangerous squirrels and scary leaves blowing around in the wind by giving her best and loudest boof, ensuring they will never return to hurt us. She loves snuggling in our bed with us and getting her nightly spoonful of peanut butter with her dad.

Although she weighs almost 70 pounds, her sassy, 12 pound sister is definitely the boss of the two, and Lady is happy for it to be that way. Her gentle nature and big hugs are only a couple of the things that have made Lady a special and irreplaceable part of our lives and family. Not to mention the beautiful songs she sings when you scratch her backside just right!

Sadly, Lady hasn’t been acting the same recently. She’s had trouble eating and even opening her mouth wide enough to pick up her favorite toys. She is very lethargic now, and anyone who knows her know that’s very out of character. We don’t have the money to get her a diagnosis and start treating the problem. This is very concerning for us because it’s getting harder for her to even eat her food.

We are a single income household barely scraping by and paying our bills, not unlike many other families right now. We are spending every dollar we have to help our baby, but unfortunately we are not even close to the amount we need, and we don’t qualify for any other help.
