Hi! I'm raising vet funds for my neighbor's dog, Lady. Lady's owner rescued her from a tragic past of abuse and homelessness and gave her the happy life she deserved. But now her person is struggling, and Lady is in dire need of dental surgery for infected abscesses that burst while her person was in the hospital. She has been swallowing the infected fluid. Can you please help me help Lady?

Lady is the sweetest dog. She loves going for walks and takes her time sniffing all the smells. She adores her best friend Bella, who joined her pack as a puppy, and all humans she meets. Lady lives in the woods of Harstine Island, a small community in the south Puget Sound where people look out for each other.

When Lady gazes lovingly into your eyes while getting a brushing or a head pet, you know she's a very special pup. She hops up and down when she is excited and nuzzles Bella when she's happy taking a walk. She is a beautiful old girl who has been through a lot, though you'd never know it. She has been very brave while her human is away and never said how much her mouth hurt.

While Lady's person is in the hospital, friends and neighbors have been caring for the dogs. We took Lady for an exam and were told her teeth are her most urgent problem. The vet says due to the infection, she needs the dental surgery right away. Since the abscesses burst, she has been swallowing the fluid. Poor kid really needs help fast.

Lady's owner is 85 years old. She has always been strong and independent until an infection landed her in the ICU and now a rehab center working on PT so she can come home to her dogs asap. Being on a fixed income, she can't afford the surgery that Lady so desperately needs.
