Latte Was Found Limping With a Painful, Infected Wound — She Needs Treatment to Heal

Hand to Paw Rescue never hesitates to step in when an animal needs help, and that’s exactly what happened with little Latte. When their team went out to provide vaccinations and food for Latte, her siblings, and her mom, they noticed something was very wrong. Latte was limping badly, and her wound was already infected with pus and fly eggs.

Without a second thought, Hand to Paw brought her to the clinic so she could get daily wound cleanings, antibiotics, and pain relief. Even in pain, Latte wagged her tail the whole time, soaking up every bit of love and attention. Her sweet puppy breath reminded the team of coffee—so they named her Latte.

Latte’s family are hardworking farmers who care deeply for their dogs, but with an income of about $10 a day, affording the $150 in medical care simply isn’t possible. Thanks to Hand to Paw, Latte now has the chance to fully heal, grow up healthy, and spend her days playing with her mom and siblings.
