About this campaign

Layla came to me as a gift from my brother. I had talked about wanting a dog for years and he surprised me with Layla on my 50th birthday. She is the best dog I have ever had.

I am seeking help for Layla because she is suffering from a condition known as hip dysplasia in both hind legs. Our veterinarians, Dr. Ahmad and Dr. Ahmed (All Paws Veterinarian Center located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland) discovered her condition after I brought her in for a physical examination due to a severe limp she developed apparently over night.

Layla is beyond special to me - My brother gave me this dog and Layla is an integral part of our family. When I told my family of Layla's diagnosis, we all wept because we fear Layla will have to be euthanized - I cannot lose my baby . She is my Support Dog, She loves kids, the beach, the trampoline and peanut butter breaks.

The financial need is more than I can afford 15k. Maybe someone who is reading this is a veterinarian and can perform this surgery Pro Bono. Maybe there is an angel donor reading this and can cover the cost. I would do almost anything to have her back whole.
