About this campaign

Layla was found and brought to a shelter on October 26 2021. She was emaciated and only 36 pounds. She had been shot in the head and left to die. Her eye was removed in January of this year prior to us adopting her. Unfortunately Laylas troubles are not over. An xray shows that she has bullet fragments in her nasal passages and needs a ct scan so that the vet can remove them.

Layla is such a good girl! I have a special needs son so I thought we would adopt a special needs pup too. :) She is so happy with us. But...she has medical issues. She sneezes and sneezes and when she runs (which is her favorite thing) she gets nosebleeds. She has an infection in her nose that is not able to be manged with antibiotics. She is a tough cookie!.

Layla is such a good girl. When we first got her she would insist on sitting on the recliner like a lap dog and as she got bigger it became a bit much and 1 recliner later we have her trained to stay off. All she wants to do is play catch but we cant do that too much as she gets nosebleeds. She loves riding in the car and going to the library!

Layla was seen seen by her primary vet and he recommended that she get a ct scan in order to evaluate the location of the bullet fragments. I got a second opinion and a third and they all recommend the same thing. I was hoping to find a less costly treatment but there just isn't one. Blue Pearl Arden hills vets have evaluated and her want to do the CT.

She survived being shot, starved and abandoned. Our family loves her and she loves us. Its unbelievable how quickly she attached to us and us to her! My son has autism and having her has been such a blessing for him. They are best friends! Please help.
