Layla is a 4-year-old Shar-Pei in Springhill, FL, who needs $2,000 for Knee Surgery.

My husband always wanted a Shar-pie. I went in out local pet store and there was rescue group that had 2 puppies . We already had lab/pit that we rescued as a puppy he was 10yrs old when we adopted Layla. They were best friends .when Layla was almost 1yr we lost baby mylo to cancer. We were all lost. She is our support baby. Because I think my husband would not got though it without her.

Layla is very active. Her favorite game is frisbee’s. She catches it all the time . She loves going in the pool. She likes squeeze toys . She likes to give lots of kisses to everyone . She loves to sleep in our bed . She loves butt scratch at to sleep. She love all of my grandkids when they come over.

Because when I walked in to pet store,I knew when i saw her in was special and i love her . She is my very thing . She helps me with my loneliness, depression.she is by my side no matter what. She a lover and protects me and our family. She has goofy smile.

In October this year we took her out vet because she limping on her left hind leg. They sedated her and to xrays of both back legs. Didn’t find anything maybe arthritis. Put on meds helped a little but now she holds her leg up all time . I know she hurts because she won’t sleep with us in more . I think she needs surgery but we can’t afford it

I’m retired and my husband still works . We live with our daughter and her family. We pay rent to them . We just make enough to pay our bill. The surgery could cost between 3,000 to 6,000 .i want to see my baby running and playing again. She only 4yrs olds
