About this campaign
This is Layne, she’s my 6 year old Doberman that I rescued when she was 12 weeks old. She was brought into the vet clinic I go to, clinging for life. Due to her having parvo she was deemed a “reject” by her original owners. They chose for euthanasia, I chose to save her life! I pulled her through parvo and have given her the life she truly deserved from the beginning.
Layne recently suffered a hind left cruciate rupture. She is currently unable to walk on that limb and is getting around like a newborn giraffe. After pulling her through Parvo early on she has been a very healthy, active, velcro baby. This injury has been a major set back but Animal Medical Center is capable of giving her another chance with a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy(TPLO).
Layne has been my best friend since 2020. She saw me through Covid times, has ran along side me for many miles, loved me through a devastating divorce, and helped me protect my son since he was born. Layne has truly been one of the most loving, protective, and quirky little ones I’ve ever had.
I’m a single mother to an 11 month old child and have 7 other fur babies to care for. I was not prepared for this medical emergency. If I could just get help with half of the required amount, I would be beyond appreciative! I just want Layne to be able to run/play again!
