Ledger, what can I say? He is my buddy, my baby, and my soul dog. A valentine's present given by my husband in 2011, we went to the pet store "just to look". After spending 2 mins with this ball of fur, and I couldn't imagine my life without him. For 14 years he has brought so much happiness to our family.

In July of 2024 he was diagnosed with cancer. The vet thought she got it all. She didn't. It has come back more agressively and if not removed, vet says it will rupture and take his life. This carcenoma is pushing into his rib which will eventually cause him pain. 14 years is not enough. He still has so much life in him. We are not ready to say goodbye.

Ledger is the light of our little family. He has virtually grown up with our daughter and he means everything to her. He is also a "big brother" to our 5 year old Shih Tzu. Ledger hasn't taught Obi everything yet. He needs more time.

In 2022 my daughter and husband both became disabled. I am currently the only person in my home able to work. After a legal battle, my husband was able to get on Social Security, my daughter's case is still ongoing. New surgery needed and we are out of money.
