About this campaign
Legolas, a brave and resilient kitten, was found out in frigid temperatures, trapped in vines, with one of his legs severely injured. The circulation was cut off for so long that the leg actually fell off. The exposed, infected bone left him at risk for fatal sepsis, and he urgently needed amputation surgery to prevent further suffering.
We don’t know how Legolas survived while trapped in freezing temperatures, but his fight to live is nothing short of a miracle—and now, Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge is thrilled to share that Legolas is thriving after amputation surgery! He’s purring non-stop and loves being around people and other animals. He’s already much brighter and more comfortable.
While Legolas is still adjusting to his recovery (and not loving being in a crate), all he wants is to be the center of your world. He’s such a sweet, grateful boy, and we’re so excited for the bright future ahead of him—one that includes a forever home filled with love.
We are doing everything we can to provide the care he needs, but we can't do it without you. Your donation today will give Legolas the chance at healing and a family to treasure him.
Homeless animals like Legolas need us more than ever, especially with temperatures below freezing and snow in the forecast. As the wind howls, we dread walking outside and can’t imagine how these defenseless stray cats are surviving.
Your gift will not only save Legolas but allow us to continue providing life-saving care to those animals still outside, waiting for rescue to come.
Thank you for your support in making this miracle possible for Legolas!
