Leia is a 1-year-old Australia shepherd in Perkinston , MS, who needs $2,000 for Leg surgery .

How Leia came into my life was out of no where I was working on this ranch and they got a puppy well the people that gave them this puppy said it was a male well when they picked this puppy up they saw it wasn’t a male it was a female and they told me to take her or they were going to kill her because they hate female dogs and ever since then she is my pride and joy and she make me smile.

Since Leia was a puppy she loves going on cat rides and mostly loves coming with me when I go to the river. She loves to play and swim in the water and she plays with our other dogs runs around, jumps, but without the surgery she won’t be able to do any of it. She sleeps at the foot of my bed and wakes me up by licking my feet and cuddling next to me.

I am on a very fixed income and this was a sudden emergency and if I don’t get surgery soon she will have to lose her leg and I would love for her to be able to use her leg again and be able to swim when I go to river, run, play with the other dogs she means the world to me.

We are every unsure how it happen but one day I had left her at home because it’s been getting to hot to bring her in the truck and when I got home she was limping really bad so the next day I brought her to the vet she she broke to bones where they can’t fix it with just a cast. They have to do major surgery or amputate her leg and the surgery is very expensive.

She is very special in many ways she knows the front seat in my truck is hers and goes right there when she gets in the truck which makes me smile a lot. She will talk back to me when I say something to her or of me and my fiancé are talking she starts talking. She stays by my side no matter what. She makes me smile and laugh when I have had a bad day.
