About this campaign

We adopted Leilani on September 21, 2018 from a local Animal Rescue. We picked her name because it's Hawaiian ( where we were married 9 years ago ) & for its meaning, "Child of Heaven". My Husband has Type II diabetes with Neuropathy ( nerve damage ) from the knees down, so that's why we found our baby. She helps daddy forget about the pain, etc. She some times sleeps above his head on the pillow on his real bad days !! She eats and watches TV with us and some times she does take up the whole leg rest to do it as you'll see in the pics. When it's time to go to bed, she'll follow us upstairs and she'll jump on the bed, kinda like counting heads, to make sure we're there for the night and if we have to get up in the middle of the night, we'll find her in the bathtub, so she's not too far away from us. She knows us very well ! lol
