About this campaign

We got lemon when she was a puppy, we came across a golden retriever once and fell in love with her and then learned the owner was going to breed her. So we decided to buy one of her puppies because she was such a sweet dog. 6 months later we picked up our sweet lemon. She is a Mini golden doodle

We rushed lemon into our vet because of noticed bloating and some spotting. The vet took an ultrasound and noticed her belly was full of blood like matter. We then were sent to WestVet animal hospital. It took two days and an exploratory surgery to figure out that lemon had Ovarian Carcinoma. They found a grape sized tumor on one of her ovaries and also saw that it had spread to her intestines.

She is the most social dog! Her best friend is BB she is my dad’s dog, a wired hair griffon! We can just say the name BB and she rushes to the door to see if she is here. Everyone who meets her is in love with her! So gentle and loving! She goes in for hugs all the time!

Because lemon is so young we definitely were not expecting a cancer diagnosis or the cost of her exploratory surgery. We have a fixed income and unfortunately cannot afford to pay for cancer treatments
