About this campaign
Lenox is an estimated 10-12-year-old 10-pound Chihuahua who was found wandering the
streets of Miami, and it’s clear that he was an outside dog who was never properly cared for.
He was rescued by Lisa L. of True and Faithful Pet Rescue, and Lisa notes that his urine is deep
orange in color, which is very concerning. Lisa brought him to the veterinarian, where doctors
ran a series of tests to try and figure out what’s going on. Lenox was found to be heartworm
positive, and he also had to have 19 teeth removed.
Doctors also did chest X-rays, an abdominal ultrasound, and liver bile acid tests. They are
currently waiting for the culture to come back for his urine to see what’s causing it to be so
dark. Since he’s had such a tough go in life, Lisa explains, “He’s very sweet, but he’s a little
cautious and it takes him a little time to warm up.”
Once Lenox is given a diagnosis and is started on a treatment regimen, he’ll be one step closer
to finding his forever home, where he can receive the love and care he’s missed out on up until
now. Lisa adds, “I know he’s on his way to happiness.”
To cover the cost of Lenox’s medical invoices, True and Faithful Pet Rescue needs help from
generous donors like you. With your contribution, you can not only help get Lenox on the road
to recovery, but you can rest assured that you’re helping the rescue continue to give more
animals the veterinary care they so desperately need.
