Leo's short life has been one of immense hardship and trauma.

Leo was found with a horrendous leg injury, likely from being hit by a car. When Operation Liberation rescue learned about Leo and saw his adorable face, they fell in love and immediately saved him.

"Refusing him help was simply not an option," Amanda G., with the rescue group, tells Waggle.

They raced Leo to an animal hospital. X-rays showed his pelvis was fractured, and his femur was dislocated. Leo needs diagnostic tests and possible surgery.
