About this campaign
Leo was brought to us by a neighbor who was clearing land and found him and his brother. They were about a week old and his brother didn't make it. Leo is now 2 months old and has been having issues with constant diarrhea, seizures, and losing function of his back legs. Our 4 year old son named him and has grown very attached. Every time it seems Leo bounces back, he gets sick again.
Leo is a very persistent little booger. He likes to climb up our legs like we are a tree. He snuggles with my 4 year old right when he gets home from school every day. None of us can walk around the house without Leo being right on our trail. He is so goofy when he plays and loves to snuggle on our fuzzy blankets.
When Leo was brought to us, he fit in my husbands palm. We were not sure if he would make it. He has made it so far and deserves to live a long, happy, healthy life. When we took him in, we were hopeful he would flourish with the bottle and progress normally. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Leo is special because he has beat the odds. Now we need to help him beat whatever he is going through
Leo started having seizers and is not losing the function of his hind legs periodically. He has constant diarrhea but his appetite is still strong for his bottle. He gets disoriented and confused periodically as well. When he has his seizers, he loses his control over his bowels and bladder.
Currently I am the sole provider of the home. My husband was in a bad 18-wheeler wreck that left him disabled and unable to work after needing a major back surgery following the wreck. At this time we are barley getting by. We just want Leo to have a long life.
