About this campaign

Leontyne was my dream for 15 years. When I first saw her tiny photo, I knew she was the one I had waited for. I cried with happiness when I held her for the first time. We’ve been together for 9 years and 23 days. She goes everywhere with me, even moved from Ukraine to the U.S. She’s not just a dog — she’s my family and my first child.

Leontyne suddenly developed serious neurological symptoms: loss of balance, collapsing, and difficulty walking. Her condition is worsening and requires urgent diagnostics, including MRI and neurological evaluation. She is currently being treated at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

My girl has human-like eyes — wise and understanding. I could talk to her for hours before she got sick. When the war in Ukraine triggered my panic attacks, she learned to calm me. But now the attacks have returned, and she cannot help because she urgently needs care herself.

I treated her with medications, but they didn’t help, and I see my girl suffering. Our family income after bills cannot cover even half of the surgery cost. My love is dying in my arms because I cannot afford the urgent treatment she needs.
