About this campaign
Little Lexi was born on a farm where she picked me out to be her human. When I got out of the car, she ran up to me, bounced on my legs and rolled backwards. For the past ten years, Lexi and I have been through hell and back getting each other through all of life’s ups and downs. We are currently living out in the country with lots of space for walks and playing.
Lexi is the best girl and my best friend. We laugh together, she licks my tears when I am sad and won’t sleep unless she is cuddled against me in bed. She reads my feelings and responds accordingly. Lexi has the sweetest disposition and loves anything with a heartbeat or a squeaker. Currently, Lexi loves to lay with her little sister and watch animal shows since she is not allowed to run and play.
The cost of the surgery is about $5,000 . With no other health issues, Lexi has the potential for many years of play and love, but she must get this surgery to make that possible. Without the surgery, the unthinkable must happen much sooner than necessary.
Lexi was running down the lane and her knee gave out. X-rays were taken and she was diagnosed with cruciate disease. We have been treating her with pain medications, Adequan injections and bed rest. There is no improvement and she needs TPLO surgery. Her referring vet is Noah’s Landing Pet Care Clinic in Elkhart, Indiana. She will have surgery at NIVES in Ft. Wayne, Indiana
Lexi’s favorite friend other than her momma, is her new little sister, Tinkerbell, who we adopted from the shelter. They love to snuggle and “talk” to each other! It would be amazing for them to run, swim and really play together.
Lexi is a true talker. When she has a story to tell, everyone hears it! Lexi has the kindest heart and purest soul. She is a comfort and joy to everyone she meets.
