About this campaign
Little Lexi was born on a farm where she picked me out to be her human. When I got out of the car, she ran up to me, bounced on my legs and rolled backwards. For the past ten years, Lexi and I have been through hell and back getting each other through all of life’s ups and downs. We are currently living out in the country with lots of space for walks and playing.
Lexi is the best girl and my best friend. We laugh together, she licks my tears when I am sad and won’t sleep unless she is cuddled against me in bed. Lexi has the sweetest disposition and loves anything with a heartbeat or a squeaker. Currently, Lexi loves to lay with her little sister and watch animal shows since she is not allowed to run and play.
I have been renting my Great grandpas house from my grandpa for the last 3 years. My Grandpa died of Covid on Christmas of 2020 and I was just informed I must move out. I need to buy a house for us to live in.
A few months ago, Lexi was running down the lane and her knee gave out. I took her in to the vet where they did X-rays, and she was diagnosed with cruciate disease. For the last month, we have been treating her with gabapentin, rimadyl, dasaquin, Adequan injections and bed rest. There is no improvement and she needs TPLO surgery. Her vet is Noah’s Landing Pet Care Clinic in Elkhart, Indiana.
Lexi’s favorite friend other than her momma, is her new little sister, Tinkerbell, who we adopted from the shelter. They love to snuggle and share toys. Lexi is a true talker. When she has something to say, everyone knows it! Lexi also has the kindest of hearts. Once there was a baby bunny drowning in her pool and she came to get me and cried and cried until I saved it.
