About this campaign
When I moved to kansas city I lived with a relative, unfortunately things didn't go well and I ended up homeless. During that time I met a great group of people most of them unfortunately are still homeless but one of them had a dog and she gave birth to a litter of pups and I knew the owner wouldn't be able to care for all of them. I've had Lexi since the day she left her mom at 6 weeks.
Lexi and I are the only two who live at my apartment. She truely has become my companion/best friend in the short time that we have been together, so she actually plays a certain big role in my life and honestly i don't know what I would do without her. She unknowingly saved my life. She deserves a happy pain free life and I pray I can figure out a way for her to have that.
6 years ago I walked away from a 16 year marriage that at the end was a very abusive one. I went from having a family to having noone. I began to shut myself out, even started to think my life had no purpose. June is when Lexi came in my life, since then she has been my best friend. When I walk in from work and she is ecstatic to see me gives me a feeling that's unexplainable and irreplaceable.
the vet explained to me that the way she landed and rolled she broke the leg at the section where it connects to the hip. Without the surgery she won't be able to use her leg at all and will always be in constant pain. She's being seen at union hill animal hospital by Dr.Locke in kansas city missouri.
After my separation from my husband and only seeing my kids half the time, I experienced a loneliness that I never would have imagined. I'd rather be broke and without a home and have someone by my side then I would to be rich with no-one
