Lil B is a 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier Mix in Philadelphia, PA, who needs $2,000 for Cataract Surgery.

We rescued Lil B about 9 years ago. He came from a pretty traumatic past where he was left on the side of the road by his old owners. Ever since rescuing him, we have strived to give him the best life he can imagine. He suffers severely from anxiety due to his past but has definitely overcome a lot of his fears since being with us. I truly believe we have allowed him to love life again.

Lil B lives with his mom and aunt in Philadelphia. Ever since the pandemic started, they have been working from home and get to spend all hours with Lil B. He enjoys his time following around his Aunt, going for walks, or snoozing on the couch throughout the day. With our new work lifestyle, Lil B has been able to go home to our parent's house where he continues to be spoiled.

Over the last 10 months, we have spent thousands to diagnose/maintain his diabetes and this procedure will really effect us financially without any help. I am not ready to put him down for something that can be fixed just because I can't afford it.

Lil B is a recently diagnosed diabetic. He has always had cataracts but due to the diabetes, they have progressed. He started bumping into things, walking into the wall, and falling up the steps. After seeing an Ophthalmologist, it was determined that he can only see light vs. dark and shadows. The only cure to regain vision would be Cataract Surgery. His surgery will be at Valley Central Vet.

They said dogs don't understand you when you talk but for Lil B, I would like to think he understands. He does this cute thing where he turns his head and his ears perk up whenever you say something that he wants to do. We usually will say Breakfast, Dinner, Wanna go for a walk, or Gotta go out? I've even noticed recently he's been doing this when I say I love you.
