I rescued Lila and her sister when they were only 8 weeks old to keep them together and out of the shelter system. Since then, they have been inseparable. Lila is an indoor cat who is easily frightened, but she has a deep bond with me and her sister. Our home in is her sanctuary, where she has grown from a tiny kitten into the heart of our family. She is truly my best friend.
A vet exam confirmed she is lethargic, drooling and refusing food or water. We are working with Victoria Animal Hospital but will try to take her to Animal Emergency Clinic where I was told they might be able to work with a payment plan.Bloodwork is the next critical step. We need to determine if this is organ failure or a physical obstruction so we can provide life-saving treatment before her con
When I call her name, she gives a unique meow that sounds just like she’s saying "ma." She is my study buddy; whenever I’m doing homework, she’ll loaf right on my textbooks just to be near me. Her favorite "prey" is a simple hair tie that she chases and meows at with so much pride. She is a gentle, sweet girl who makes biscuits on me every night to show her love.
As a student, my funds are very limited. I have exhausted all options, including applying for emergency credit and payment plans, but was not approved. My next step is visiting a recommended emergency vet to see if they can work with me
