About this campaign
Lila came to me by surprise because a friend needed to rehome her due to a social workers request involving a foster child. Lila already got along with my dog Ozzy, and when she came to be part of our tiny family (just me, Lila and Ozzy) they became fast friends and are now an unlikely inseparable duo. Unfortunately, I just became unemployed and she has a medical situation that is very costly.
Lila has a polyp in her left ear that has now been infected twice. She scratches it and my dog insists on being her nurse and constantly licks her ears clean but it’s causing bacteria to infect the scratch and she is very sick. The emergency vet last Saturday was $1,000 and they estimate her surgery to be between $5,000 and $9,000 at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Clackamas, Oregon.
Lila is the sweetest cuddle bug that that wants to be attached to your hip at all times. She’s also mischievous and loves exploring all ledges, drawers, cabinets, and hard to reach places, like the back of the laundry closet. She and Ozzy, my long-haired Chihuahua and cocker spaniel mix, love to play chase, wrestle, drink water together, and nap cuddles up after an afternoon of playing.
I recently left a toxic work environment where I felt I was being discriminated against for my intersex condition & my leftist politics. I had no idea these expenses would come up and I am a single homeowner parent of two fur babies that are my world. I have no family in OR.
