Lili is a 5 year old Rat Terrier in Modesto, CA, who needs $2,000 for Neurological Care.

Lili is the strongest pup I have ever met. I found her skin and bones on the side of the road in Mexico at just about 2 months old. She was severely ill and extremely malnourished. I could not leave her there. I immediately took her to the vet in Mexico and worked together to help her recover and survive from the already traumatic start of her life. She grew up to become an energetic young lady.

Lili was energetic and playful until the beginning of Summer 2025. She began to loose her balance and within a couple of days she stopped walking completely. She developed Nystagmus (involuntary eye movement) and cried of confusion and possible pain. She is somewhat stable at the moment with help of some medication but needs help from UC Davis Neurological team. We are waiting for referral.

Lili was a playful, sassy girl. She loved playing with her four legged brother Casper. As Lili became ill, Casper lays beside her and stares at me in confusion. We all miss playing with her. She is very vocal and you will hear her if you’re eating her favorite snacks. She loves everyone but can sometimes act like an antisocial teenage girl hidden in mama’s room.

Lili needs special care from a Neurologist to find answers as to what happened to her and why. We need an MRI scan, CT scan, and possibly spinal fluid tests. This will help us get the answers we need and work towards full recovery ❤️‍🩹
