About this campaign
My 11 year old son has autism and I wanted to get him an emotional support dog. I found Lilly at an animal shelter. When she was introduced to us, she was wagging her tail and such a happy girl. She came out and sat right next to my son. It was love at first sight! Lilly was smiling the whole time. She was so happy to come home with us.
Lilly participates in therapy with my son every Monday. She is always so calm and it really helps my son relax and participate in therapy. Lilly jumps up on the couch with my son and rests her head on my sons lap. Aside from therapy Lilly is the life of the party. She is always involved in whatever we are doing. She loves attention and has to know what’s going on at all times.
Lilly loves loves loves her walks. She does this little dance with her two front legs when I grab her leash. She then stretches out her body and howls. She goes out the front door then freeze frames. It’s the funniest thing! Lilly is the ultimate cuddle bug too. She loves to snuggle her head and body right next to us. She’s such a lover. And always so relaxed.
When I adopted Lilly I took her in for her first check up. Everything was fine. Then a few months later I noticed a small hard lump on her belly but it went away. A couple weeks later it came back and grew into a large mass about the size of my fist. I took her in to see Dr Olson at Best Friends Hospital and I was told it was a mammary tumor and it needed to be surgically removed.
I am a single mom and Right before Christmas I had my wages garnished and after Xmas I was let go from my job. A week later I tested positive for Covid then my son tested positive. I fell behind on a lot of bills and I’m still trying to catch up. I am working again.
