Lilly Red spent over 12 years of her life being picked on by the larger dogs in her backyard and has the scars to prove it. Her irresponsible owner never did anything to protect her, never let her into the house, and never gave her the care that she needed. When the shelter called and told us that Lilly needed a soft place to land, we opened our sanctuary to her.

After almost 2 years of sanctuary life, Lilly Red suddenly started to urinate frequently and was perpetually thirsty. What started out looking like a possible bladder infection has turned into something more mysterious and serious. Lab tests haven't revealed the cause of her discomfort yet and Lilly needs imaging and specialized tests at Madison Vet Hospital to diagnose and treat her illness.

Understandably, Lilly Red is fearful of larger dogs, but she loves humans and she loves to be petted and groomed. Her tail wags constantly when her human caretakers are close by. Her sweet eyes melt our hearts and we love her dearly.
