Lilo is a 6-month-old Shorthair Cat in Ash, NC, who needs $2,000 for Amputation.

We picked Lilos mom up on the side of the road and little did we know, she was pregnant. She had 4 kittens and we all immediately fell in love with little Lilo. Lilo’s mom as well as his 4 doggy siblings live with us. Lilo and mamas (his mom) are inside/outside cats. They love their out side time but love their time inside with their humans even more!

Lilo loves to sleep anywhere, but he’s most comfortable when he’s right on top of you! He’s almost like a dog and just wants love and attention 24/7. When Lilo is outside, he doesn’t miss a greeting when you get home! He’s always at the car door waiting for you to open the door and he jumps right in and starts purring and rubbing his head all over you.

Lilo loves to be any where his dog friends or his humans are and he will follow you anywhere! Attention is all he wants, especially his belly rubs and chin scratches!

Lilo was found limping one day when I came home from work. After taking him inside and looking him over, I found 2 puncture wounds on his rear legs.I immediately called the emergency vet and spoke with them. We immediately took him to the emergency vet. After examination and X-rays we learned he was shot and the bullet shattered his femur. The only solution is amputation of the rear leg.

On 10/22 I found my father deceased in his home. Due to him being only 46 and having no end of life plans in place, I was left to pay all funeral expenses out of pocket. I applied for care credit to get Lilo to the emergency vet but the didn’t give me enough for surgery.
